Even as someone who would gladly go through the trouble of making dumplings and wontons from scratch, I have my lazy days too. Make sure you are following any local laws and not trespassing on private lands and harvesting sustainably. Tap your maple trees in the spring to make your own maple syrup. Can you buy one bulk bag of grains, swap one convenience item for homemade, or grow some sprouts for cheap and easy greens?
